House Manager | Nr. Haslemere, Surrey.

Our client is looking for an enthusiastic, energetic & hands-on House Manager to manage their recently purchased property and grounds.

The property is located near Haslemere, Surrey and sits on grounds of about 28 acres. There is a substantial main house, guest lodge and ancillary staff accommodation totalling some 28,000 sq ft.

The property is modern, but built in the traditional Georgian style, to a high specification, including quality fittings and hard and soft finishes throughout. Some modifications, refurbishment and upgrading is planned and will be undertaken over the following 6 months.

Occupation of the property will vary, but broadly it can be assumed that it will be occupied for up to six months each year.

While the property is not occupied, the house manager and their team will be scheduled to work 5 days, Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm or 9 am to 6pm. However, when the family are in residence, staff should also expect to work shifts to cover weekends and public holidays. It is also expected that the House Manager remains in contact (via work mobile/email).

Staffing: It is envisaged, there will be 2 full-time house-keepers, along with residential security and  gardeners. A personal team, including maids, serving staff, chefs, and PAs travel with the family.

Note: Due to the rural nature of the property, applicants will need to drive and own their own car.

ORDER OF AUTHORITY

The House Manager will report directly to the Client's managing agent. The house manager will be responsible for overseeing the two housekeepers and associated staff/contractors. During periods of occupation there will be additional staff members, drivers and so forth to help and oversee. Recruitment of temporary / contract staff is also sometimes required.
