Roles and Responsibilities

Daily Duties

• Switch lights/floodlights on and off as needed; replace bulbs
• Light cleaning and dusting (furniture, skirting boards, dado rails, picture frames, etc.)
• Air rooms and wipe down windowsills and thresholds
• Identify and report maintenance issues and pest activity
• Keep work areas tidy and organized daily
• Carry out laundry tasks as directed

Weekly Duties

• Vacuum, mop, and buff all flooring
• Water and care for houseplants
• Run taps and appliances to maintain water flow and prevent odours
• Clean bathroom fixtures as per manufacturer’s guidance
• Sweep terraces and wipe down outdoor furniture
• Monitor and replenish household supplies and cleaning stock

Monthly Duties

• Clean all windows inside and out, including sills
• Dust and clean light fixtures (where not done by specialists)
• Perform high-level dusting (curtain rails, cornices, vents, etc.)
• Polish silver, brass, and copper items with appropriate products
• Clean refrigeration and beverage areas
• Deep-clean outdoor garden furniture

Bi-Annual Duties

• Move heavy furniture to clean hidden areas
• Defrost and sanitize freezers

Annual Duties

• Assist in household inventory checks

Post-Visit Closing Duties

• Empty and clean fridges
• Remove and clean flower vases
• Store and protect outdoor furniture cushions
• Systematically clean and reorganize cupboards, drawers, and wardrobes
• Deep-clean kitchen and pantry cabinets and polish glass cabinetry

Entry Requirements

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role in private households or luxury hotels
• Strong attention to detail and high cleaning standards
• Trustworthy, discreet, and respectful of privacy
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a small team

Additional Information:

• This is a long-term, full-time position
• Flexibility during periods of occupation is essential
